Weekend fun

Hello lovelies
so on Saturday i went to dharavi to watch an installation put up by artists from new york inspired by the people of dharavi. It was just about okay as it lacked the connection you need to make. But dharavi was intriguing as always. I wore my new purple chunni and churidaar with my trust old black kurta.
On sunday, i went for a bandra tree walk with my friend gitanjali at 8 am!! dressed in my zara pants and tee with my pretty ballerinas and matching bag. it was fun! now back to work :)

All set for Dhobi Ghat

dress from vero moda (they have a great sale...got this for only 700, shoes from gossip, bag from mango

star earrings from kazo
So i went to watch Dhobi ghat in this dress that i feel will be great for all curvy woman. It gives us a waist and hides the flaws, don't you think. Great slimming shape for everyone. As for the movie, Prateik rocked for his innocent portrayal, monica for her natural feel, and just everything about dhobi ghat was so subdued and calm that it was a treat to watch. Go and watch it guys

Fellow blogger and friend Dhruvi Shah looks casual and so girl next door. Love it

Ankita paul looks smashing in a simple yet tres chic outfit
So Dhruvi of Alice Wandering and I caught up over green tea and iced milk to discuss some business and a lot of fun. We talked about everything else under the sun too, took each others's pictures and also managed to capture some fashionable chicas. It was fun Friday afternoon.

dressed for a read meet!

So i went to caferati's read meet, armed sheepishly with a short story. I thought i should look pretty as well, maybe some votes will swing my way ;)...so i decided to be casual yet slightly dressy. Hence the shredded sleep top that i bought at a sale for just Rs 300 again. It's perfect for curvy women like me because it takes away focus from my love handles...or does it. I really think it does :). paired with a dark pair of jeans that slims me down and a necklace i have fallen in love with, and my brand new ballerinas...i think it works well. Hwat do you think, my gorgeous friends!
points to be noted:
1. DARK jeans work well with rounded figures. They make your butt look sexy and yet toned down.
2. Tops with embellishments at the right places take focus away from problem areas!
Top for just Rs 300 from Latin Quarters...(head to their sale now), neck piece from a garage sale (that's why you should attend them!...
